培正 vs SPK

培正 AM K1 及 SPK PM K1 都收了囡囡, 現正煩惱緊點選擇.

有老師的意見認為, SPK 屬於天主教學校, 會比較嚴謹一些, 服從性的要求亦高一些.  而培正是基督教學校, 相對上對小朋友的要求比較包容一些.  而我囡囡比較被動, 所以應該是培正適合一些.

另外, 聽說 SPK 不喜歡收細妹 (我囡囡是家姐), 而培正收細妹的機會就高一些.

煩請各位給些意見, 例如還有那些方面我未考慮, 還有那些其他資料我需要注意的呢?

我知兩間都是好學校, 所以想為囡囡做個最好最全面的決定.

Your point on PC which has higher chance to accept siblings is not really true. I know a friend that her elder daughter at PC but rejected her little son.

On the other hand, if your daughter is not so pro-active, why not send her to SPK to train her!!

Besides, I guess you should also consider your perferable language developement.

St Paul has good trainning of English, with French in late Primary School

PC is pairticular good in Chinese as this is their medium of teaching for most of the subjects from KG to its secondary school

我覺得切身的問題也可以想想，比如交通時間和你們家的作息時間，有些小孩早起床，有些遲起床，正如大人都有分morning person and night person，重點是適合小朋友，有充分時間遊戲和休息，上學都開心點。

另想請問, 不是傳統的幼稚園及小學都是用中文教的嗎?  如是, 那麼在幼稚園及小學階段不是差別不大嗎?

而培中是否英書中教呢?

仲想問 SPK 是否不承諾直升小學?  是否只會說收大部份 SPK 的學生?

培正在入學須知信上是清楚寫明 "幼稚園畢業生可直升本校小一年級" 的.

我在網上看到的資料是：培中雖然是中文中學，但它是全港唯一一間獲教統局批准英書中教的中文中學。請問是否屬實？

個人認為中書中教會令將來銜接大學的課程有問題。而英書英教則會增加大部份學生在理解上的困難。所以英書中教才是比較好的方案。

培正 is indeed 英書中教.  In fact, this is not strange at all before EDB intervene the medium of instructions on each aided secondary school.  It was a common thing in most of HK schools.

The importance is it provide a choice, a choice for parents and children who are suitable for this method of learning.  Not all kids are the same and they will need different teaching methods to make their learning effective.

無校車去沙田, 不過有褓母車.

唔熟培正, 不過SPC小學部好似中英數合格已經可以升班, 而且中學部係直資, 壓力應該比培小細D?

可以參考下SPC中學既成績, 又或者去兩間學校既網址參考下往年既annual report

SPK, for sure, they dont "buy" the idea of accepting siblings. Child got it only becoz their own performance (many of my fds has 2 daughters studying in diff school.... so tedious)

For PC, has to have other ppl giving opinion on this
