我有去圖書館睇過,不過,想借的都要預約,好難搵到呀!

Can you prioritize your needs? Price or timeliness?

If you just want to stock up for your kid's future use, you may wait for bulk purchase in the Book Fair.

If you want some books now and do not want to wait for delivery, please walk into one of the bookshops like Popular, Commercial Press or Joint Publishing assuming one of these bookshops are convenient to you. If you have a specific title in mind, please call the bookshop before going to save your transportation time and cost.

If you can wait for one week or so, just do some relaxed online shopping. Say, bookdepository is offering a 10% discount currently. Their listed price covers international delivery and their protection packaging is very good.

Please do check and compare across different shops to avoid regret. Yet, don't overdo it as the money saved from the bookprice cannot justify your checking time and money.

我去過三聯,全線得2本,找打過電話去大眾,又係冇反斗車王同thomas & friend 系列,咁我會選擇在on line book store 訂喇,
因為我未試過在網上(oversea)買架,想問問,係唔係可以用visa比$,安全嗎?

如果Amazon係唔係就要比delivery fee?

以上都是否只須一星期便收到貨?

It is pretty safe using credit card when shopping at book.despository.  The delievery time is usually 1 week after despatch.

Yes, bookdepository and many other online bookstores accept credit cards like Visa and Master. In EK, you can see quite some parents have shared their experience in purchasing books from bookdepository before. So far, the comments are positive. Besides, I have read on bookdepository's website that they have been acquired by Amazon already. Personally, I trust bookdepository.

Different online bookstores have their individual selling points. For bookdepository, I like their simple pricing. Their listed price covers international delivery so what you see is what you pay. In my previous experience, they can deliver in a week or even less. However, they are currently running a promotion with 10% off. Seems they have received many orders and The delivery is slowed. I noticed individual EK mum only received the books in 2 weeks.

By the way, you can first try out the service of bookdepository by just buying one book first. Their packaging is very good and my previous orders all arrived in good shape.

I missed to reply your question about Amazon. Just like most online shops, Amazon has its own way of charging for delivery. You have to read the details individually. Say, Amazon in UK may have different promotion/charging rules from Amazon in US.

So far, among online bookstores, bookdepository is the only one offering free international delivery (meaning price covers delivery charge).
