Very difficult to apply primary IS, need advise

My daughter just moved from Australia to HK , holding australian passport, only speaks english
Currently studing K3 at icms
I found it extremely difficult to apply primary school for 2016/2017 year 1 intake
can please recommend me any school to apply?
So far I have applied 3 schools but all seems no chance

SIS - seems prefer singaporean citizen
AIS - even being australian dont have much priority as others applied 2 years ago
ESF bradbury - year 2 intake, waiting list (10-20 waiting list)

we are currently staying hk island and willing to move

any other IS may have shorter waiting list?

because if we cant find a primary school for her, i have to bring her overseas ( im currently workinging in HK)

Anfield Kowloon Tong has a k3 class, which accommodates students waiting for primary spot. You can try that one too. Moreover you can apply for Anfield primary at the same time, which is in Tai Wai.

Yes, it is very late now.  Fourteen years ago I was more or less like your situation.  I did send  applications (except KCIS and HKIS) forms to all interanantional schools in HK side.  Yes, ALL.   No luck at all.  So I believe your current status is more worse than mine at that time.   

Perhaps you go to visit the school , Island Christian Academy , and tell Mrs Gill Maidment (principal now?) your difficulties and current status.  She is a saint educator and loves children so much, maybe she can take  your case as an exception and give advices or recommendation.

Don't be panic! Voice out and seek for help everywhere.  Step by step to make it work.  Everything would be fine.

Yes, I didn't know its so difficult to apply so I only started looking after she arrived HK
I also think Christian school may be able to offer us a place, I shall pay them a visit soon
I cannot apply all international schools as application fee per school are like $2000-$3000
I feel its very expensive , does everyone feel the same?

because they are under same group is it?

Both are under Esf. Application of Esf school depends on the catchment area (where u live). RC, on the other hand, accepts applications all over Hong Kong.

yes, very expensive and did not help much. Just narrow down several with higher chances and apply them

For AIS, maybe I can share some experience with u. Applied year 1 ard the end of cot last year and was informed the waiting list was very long. But surprisingly, the school called us for an interview ard next April or May.
Somehow the situation is not that worse.
We didn't go to the interview at the end, though. Coz we got offer from another school.
(My kid holds Australia passport as well)

May I ask so you applied in oct 2014 for year 1 2016 intake?
but as you said, if they only inform u the interview during apr or may.
you probably went for another school as this is quite uncertain
may I know at the end which school did you choose?
