德信學校Tak Sun School Open Day Filled with Boredom and Unfriendliness

Yesterday, my family and I reluctantly attended the school open day. It felt more like a tiresome journey than an adventure! We encountered unfriendly teachers, saw dull classrooms, and played boring games.  But that wasn't all. But the most surprising thing was when we met the principal Lee, who had difficulty speaking in English. It made it hard for us to understand what he was saying, and we felt a bit confused.

After we, along with all the other parents, sat in the hall, we were surprised when the teachers suddenly asked us to leave. We were left wondering what was happening and felt confused by their sudden request. It seemed very impolite and disrespectful to ask us to leave without any explanation.

After a while, we were called back into the hall. It left us feeling frustrated and even more disappointed with the lack of organization and courtesy displayed by the school staff. It was disheartening to witness such disregard for the time and patience of the parents who had taken the effort to attend the open day.

On the other hand, while we were watching the Chinese recitation performance, all of a sudden, they asked us to sing the national anthem. It felt strange and out of place with the rest of the event.

Overall, the entire experience of the school open day was a source of disappointment and boredom. From encountering unfriendly teachers to witnessing disorganized and impolite behavior, it became evident that the school did not prioritize a welcoming and respectful environment for parents and visitors. It was a clear reflection of the unexciting and unwelcoming nature of the school, and it left us with serious doubts about whether it would be the right fit for our family.

I feel the same Bro, the school administration is chaotic, and the student even cannot listen and speak English well, I speak with them in ordinary English, but no one can get my meaning, finally a NCS comes to me and he can speak English well as his mother tongue is English, they do have quite many student can speak Mandarin, maybe they absorb a lot China kids. For sure I won't let my son study in this kind of low Grading school, I even cannot see any kindergarten kids in the school, I also doubt Tak Sun kindergarten is not link with Tak Sun School, otherwise cannot be non of Tak Sun kindergarten student come to Primary school to have a journey in their future Primary school, if you select this school for your son, you need to think it over.

呢間係中文local小學，講英文麻麻好正常，你哋English Speaking人士如果要讀免費學校又要講英文多點，可以去睇下南亞人多點小學，英文支援會比較好。現在哪裏都多說普通話小朋友，常態，正常來嘅。

我都係讀local school架，不過我尊重人地善於運用兩文三語啫，德信學生連普通英文都講唔好，普通話你就更加唔使想了據我所知佢係粵教中，除非小朋友的父母都擅長普通話，我細仔問 where is visual art room, 他們都答唔到啦，我想不到一間在佐敦歷史這麼悠久的學校，教學質素及師資會淪落到這樣！

Don't get me wrong, my post is not to say that the student's language proficiency is poor. I am just saying that the school has a history of several decades. However, during the open day, I had a hard time talking to the principal in English and felt that he was without consideration and inappropriate with the arrangements for the day.

我都有去哩個開放日，想玩遙控機壞了，後見到比紙皮小孩畫，真係好似好窮咁樣，天主教學校黎講真係小有咁寒酸，最近去過幾個開放日，哩個算係最陽春，重要chop印無獎品，即刻轉場陳守仁，小朋友smart好多，遊戲又豐富又多禮物，感恩走得快好世界，唔好嘥我同我個仔的寶貴時間

我有3個小朋友，我和先生已決定放棄選擇德信，我們會選油天海泓及舊油！朋友話德信教學質素不達水平，因為他家姐個仔就係𥚃面讀，水教師中英水平都麻麻，教不好但又期望孩子做到，不知所謂。再加上朋友話數學就請了英華的老師來教，以為這𥚃是英華，忘記這𥚃是德信，攪到朋友家姐個仔啲數學冧晒。所以佢家姐已經積極安排轉校。大家都唔好揀。

我都有聽聞有德信老師講明自己唔係教開數學但學校要佢教，但佢對數學唔太熟悉，還有數學老師賴教育局要同學仔學佢自己都唔識教的深奧課題，老實講句這些老師都是‘’呃飯食‘’。

要英文好就去讀英文小學

從英文講到數學，最好各個學科都講一通，講到一無是處。都系講啦，注重英文去英文小學，HK也有幾家免費英小，或直資收費平英小。數學聽唔明，自己買本補充操下囉，數學唔係就靠操嘛。
一係講學校窮酸。但我睇到學校又請咗交過名校老師，開放日又俾小朋友畫畫，花心思搞活動，學術又上心。

你都是對的，每個家長都希望別人說自己子女讀的學校是好的，不想別人說學校的壞話。而各人都只是把自己覺得的說出來，好讓小一選校的家長多些參考！大家免傷和氣，另外這是一間中文小學，中文是強項，應該沒有家長會對教學有質疑的。

沒有比較就不會有進步，這所學校請名校教的老師目的都係想學校有進步，可惜反差很大。你認為他們不知道自己程度弱嗎？否則又點會從其他名校小學挖角過嚟。聽好多家長講數學科係突然大改，我本人覺得會否循序漸進，而不是全面大改。睇睇不同的心理學家分析，難道他們不知道男仔10個有8個都有不同Level的讀寫障礙，有冇照顧及認清自己是一所男校呢。
這所學校坐擁油尖旺這個網，點樣都一定有擁躉，在這個靚網嘅派位機制下，一定會有Band one學生派華仁，我並不質疑這方面。但老師經驗及學生質素是非常重要的，很多家長都話他們已經從傳統名校變為一間happy School，這樣還會有競爭力嗎？不過每人都有自己的Preference，我尊重大家。我本人就不會選這所學校啦。另外其實要英文好，並不需要去英文小學或直資學校或國際學校，其實有很多本地的中文小學都很有質素。

open day同你講得野都係揀過出黎。唔駛咁肯定。起碼我識的有港式口音絕對不是native

而家討論的就是德信揀出來都講不好，不過什麼學校就有什麼樣的學生同家長，總有德信家長覺得學校好先比個仔讀德信，就好像哩度有人覺得德信有心思做好開放日，但出面一面倒說攤位幼稚不得體，所以真係德信家長先覺得好。只係可惜了一間好學校基業就一點一點流失，我去open day 前都做過功課先去，前幾年填表第一志願都入唔到，而家填第4都直入，以前同九華結龍，上年剩十來人入九華，就是見德信易入先去看一下，但都是失望而回。

我前2個多月都見到有德信家長post話德信連默書紙，考試範圍，考試卷都出錯，錯到我都不能相信，但都是有圖的，1張就算了，post了5張都是五年級的，小學生在最重要的五年級時學校出那麽多錯，當然家長會憤怒了，所以post上網公審的，老師出錯，科主任看不見錯處，校長都不查看，受罪的是學生，而孩子已五年級想轉校都難，家長才會憤怒到要公審學校的。所以我之前已說想入讀德信要三思，還有的是在教育王國裡自2022年起已沒有家長問入德信好不好，2022年剛好是換校長那一年，德信換校長後真的是今非昔比。回一下有人說那麽多新戶口在討論，如果不是孩子要上小一，我根本不會開一個教育王國的戶口，我相信正常沒小朋友的成人都不會開一個教育王國戶口吧!

其實除咗校長之外，校監係唔係都有責任㗎？如果唔係要校監嚟做乜嘢？

我又唔係用家，但睇來你哋都比較主觀。要知道沒有十全十美的學校，家長要做噶是儘量配合間學校，而唔是學校最大程度配合你哋。今日功課少，測考簡單又唔是你哋一間學校咁樣，可以講10間學校有8間係咁樣。趨勢都系要happy嘛，你明唔明呀，最終要讓大學位俾上面落來噶點勁人囉。錯別字都係很正常，何必要拿來公審那麽嚴重，成人知道錯咗改過來就得嘍，浪費時間在果點幼稚事情上面，不如多操點題，搞好個呈分。當你轉校去另外一間讀開後，又會發覺原來間學校好噶地方。即使去到名校，依然會有不如意的地方，到時又唔敢上來po，只會安慰自己，人哋名校來噶。當然有意見能咁樣公審都系好事，可見學校呢方面係比較寬容。真系有背景辣手學校，更大事情，家長連個屁都唔敢放，也冇地方俾你放。

唔該你清楚一點，我發題是說開放當日的不愉快經歷，和就算中文小學，校長的英文都不應這麼不濟！至於學生日常上課的一切情況，不是我提亦與我無關！(你回覆的，應該是其他人不是樓主)
