Any of your child were born in Nov2004 ? Come and have a chat! Have you started your research on kindergarten? I am planning to put my daughter to K1 next year... a small baby group! Quite worried on the interview if she hasn't reach 2 years old yet by that time as she is not so good in speaking now

Hi, my baby girl is 0412.  I plan to put her in N1 when she is 2 years old and K1 in Sept/07.  But, I found the application for N1 this year was already closed.  I miss to apply for her.  :cry:

I have a poor experience that I put my son to N1 when he was 2yrs and 3 months.  He cried for almost 3 months until he becomes 2 and half years.  Although he stop crying right now, I don't think it is due to the training from N1, but due to his older age and more mentally muture to face the miss and othe classmates.  So I advice you don't let him/her miss the mother when they are still too young to face it.  But of course, evething can have exception.

don't worry wor! you still can apply N1 for your kid now.  because many of nursery/kindergarten schools haven't full yet.  hurry up to call your 心水 one see if they still have vacancy.

I also worried that he is too small when having interview at KG. He is not willing to talk most of the time, although I think he can talk and understand. Any mothers can teach me how to induce the child to talk?

my son is born in August 04, he is also not willing to talk. sigh......

At first, my husband also considered to put her to K1 at Sept, 08.  But, as our observe, my daughter is quite talkative and active type.  She is not shy to face stranger and quite active in joining other children in the playground.  She can speak 2 Chinese character as well, such as "hanger", "tooth paste", "bird nest" (in Cantonese), she can follow us to pronoun some English word and Japanese character, too.  So, I want to send her to N1 when she is 2 years old at Dec, 06 and start K1 at Sept, 07.

I have some target kindergartens though I am not sure is it good or not, suitable for my children or not.  I will call them asking for any "open day" or can I visit by appointment.

Have you tried any playgroup?  I have put my son in playgroup for 3 times a week since March. After 6 lessons, he seems to learn something, at least, will concentrate for few minutes if he likes the topic, e.g. bus. I think it may help a bit.

yeah, you're right.  i'm planning to send my son to attend playgroup soon.  however, he haven't had chickenpox or flu injection yet.  i'm afraid he will be infected during the lesson.  so..... i will let him have the chickenpox injection first by the end of this month.

have your kid taken the injection too?

No, not yet, I will try to do that as soon as possible. However, I have asked my DR about the flu injection and he said better not to do it. But I did not ask about the chickenpox, anyway, I will let my son get injected the chickenpox.
