That's because most of them want to enroll into KCIS later. It's an international school with a more rigorous mandarin program (compare to ESF or HKIS). It's also (relatively speaking) cheaper and easier to get in than let's say, ISF or CIS. If your child goes to KCS for PN and K1, your chance of being accepted by KCIS reception class is greater. I really don't know any foreign families in HK who are willing to commit into the local education system all the way to P1. (Of course you will find one or two foreign families in local primary schools, but they are the rare exceptions as opposed to the norm) |
